Pila Pansumrit
“My work is a conversation between color, texture, and emotion—a space where structure meets spontaneity. I aim to create pieces that don’t just speak to the eye, but resonate with the viewer’s inner landscape.”
Born on August 4, 1982, Pila Pansumrit is a distinguished Thai artist known for her deeply abstract works that masterfully blend color and texture. Her compositions evoke a sense of movement and depth, inviting viewers into a sensory dialogue with the surface of each piece.
Pila’s artistic foundation was established at the Suphan Buri College of Fine Arts (1997–2000), where she honed her technical skills and developed a profound appreciation for form and materiality. She later pursued advanced studies in printmaking at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) in Bangkok from 2002 to 2006, further refining her distinctive visual language.
Through her work, Pila explores the fluidity of emotion and perception, using abstraction as a means of expression that transcends conventional representation. Her ability to balance structure with spontaneity results in dynamic compositions that are both meditative and visually compelling.
