Biography

"Art is about heart, it is about soul. We make art because we have this fire within, a voice that needs to be heard—and we just have to give into it."

Skye Brothers are a Dutch artist duo con- sisting of siblings Liam and Noah based out of Eind- hoven, Netherlands. They use different materials and techniques while embracing the domains of styles such as Minimalism, Abstract Expressionism, and Col- or Field painting. Their paint palette is paired down to a minimal selection of colors: white and black text on textured black, red, and gold canvases. Their work is a marriage between poetry and art which allows the viewer to react in meaningful ways. Each painting has thought-provoking statements in the center with sometimes humorous, hard-headed, and non-sensical words, while other times expresses contemplative and penetrating questions that hit close to home with relat- able concepts. The powerful and poignant conscious messages hidden within these masterpieces are one of pure honesty and simplicity.
