Skye Brothers are a Dutch artist duo consisting of siblings Liam and Noah based out of Eindhoven, Netherlands. They use different materials and techniques while embracing the domains of styles such as Minimalism, Abstract Expressionism, and Color Field painting. Their paint palette is paired down to a minimal selection of colors: white and black text on textured black, red, and gold canvases. Their work is a marriage between poetry and art which allows the viewer to react in meaningful ways. Each painting has a thought-provoking statement in its center with sometimes humorous, hard-headed, and non-sensical words or phrases. Others expresses contemplative and penetrating questions that hit close to home with relatable concepts. The powerful and poignant conscious messages hidden within these masterpieces are ones of pure honesty and simplicity.
